Once you've seen this comedian's rough and tough opener, it's
hard to believe that off-stage he's also the voice of Universal Studio's beloved
"Bullwinkle J. Moose" and donates his t-shirt sale profits to the Muscular
Dystrophy Association. Critics call it the "funniest opening in the country"
when he appears unplugged and in concert to sell-out crowds in comedy clubs and theatres
across the U.S. Basile is a former college
football player and law school student turned comedian. He has been using improvisation
and character work in his comedy for nearly a decade. His voices and characters can be
heard on more than 450 syndicated radio stations in the U.S. and the world. During the
O.J. trial, he was heard daily giving the "James Brown's O.J.
Update."
While traveling, he does free performances at schools and
children's hospitals wherever he headlines. Basile has also written for several sports
shows and entertainment magazines, and has opened for musical groups such as
Kool and the Gang, The Temptations, Chicago, The Spinners, The O'Jays and
The Beach Boys.
