Jeffrey Jena is the consummate comedy
professional. During his more than twenty years on stage he has appeared on more than
forty television shows, countless radio programs, and headlined rooms from Las Vegas to
New York.
 He has worked with a wide range of musical acts such as
Delbert McClinton,
The Temptations and Barry
Manilow. Jeff has given
special performances for charities, corporate groups and numerous other organizations.
After graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Jeff went to
pursue his first career of teaching. He worked overseas as a middle school teacher for
five years in Australia, Japan and Italy. Upon returning to the U.S., he found himself
teaching in Houston, Texas, where at the age of twenty-seven, he started his comedy career
working at the legendary Comics Annex. At the Annex he crossed paths with many well known
comics, some of whom include Jay Leno, Bill Hicks and Sam
Kinison.
Jena then moved to California, and became a finalist in the 1989 San
Francisco Comedy Competition. Soon afterwards he made his first national television
appearance on "Star Search." Since then he has been seen doing
his stand-up on Dennis Miller, Showtime, MTV, NBC, FOX and the Nashville Network. He has
also done dramatic roles on "Murder She Wrote," "Hunter"
and several other shows.
Jeff appears regularly at The Improv in Hollywood, The Comedy &
Magic Club in Hermosa Beach and the Ice House in Pasadena. Other projects have included
producing a CD titled "All Men Are Idiots and I Am Their King,"
working on his golf game and raising his son, Miles, which he says, "is the best work
I have ever done."
