Latino Comic of The Year -- 1998
Rudy
Moreno, the former DJ and musician started his comedy career back
in 1991 when he was awarded the winner of the Latino Comedy Search at
the world famous Ice House in Pasadena, California.

He went on to appear in more than 30 television
shows as an actor/comedian. Rudy was seen on "E.R.," "Everybody Loves
Raymond," "Cybil," "Pacific Blue," "L.A. Doctors," Showtime and ABC,
and was also awarded the LATINO COMIC of the YEAR by the Laugh Factory
in Hollywood.
Rudy Moreno has worked in Korea, Japan and
Mexico and currently headlines clubs across the nation. He has been
the recipient of several awards for his contributions to the
community, especially his diligent work during the holiday season.
Rudy has been the head of the Komics for Kids Toy Drive for more than
8 years, providing toys for Maravilla Foundation, Padres Contra
Cancer, the Calvary Chapel and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Rudy has opened for many top-name acts, such as
Smokey Robinson and Ice
Cube to Freddy Fender and
Lynyrd Skynyrd. His
comedy crosses over to all audiences. Whether it's nightclubs in Las
Vegas, or arenas and stadiums in Los Angles, everybody laughs!
He is a veteran of nightclubs, television, radio and stage. Whatever
the event, Rudy Moreno will guarantee hilarity.
Veteran Paul Rodriguez is quoted as saying "Out of all 80 to 100
Latino comics, there are only four that have the savvy and the vision
to surpass anything I've done. Those guys are George Lopez,
Carlos Mencia, Pablo
Francisco and RUDY MORENO...."
Not bad company at all !
