This means the performance will be advertised and open to
the public.
Members of the general public may attend the performance.
The event may be ticketed or be free admission.

PRIVATE
(not open to the public):
This means the performance is for a private group. Attendance is by invitation only.
Public announcements may be made, but the general public may not attend the performance.
The event may be ticketed or be free admission - to the private group only, not
to the public.
Typical examples include: private parties, company parties, by-invitation-only fund-raisers,

very special young adult's party, such as a --

This is only for a private party to be held in the USA,
and
the budget to pay the talent fee for the right artist is $50,000
or more.
