Less determined and creative groups might have given up the stage after all these years. Dash Riprock & The Dragons have not only survived, but they have also grown and expanded.

The band added a three-piece horn section in 1993, giving the group more musical depth. New songs featuring the brass constantly find their way into the bands already lengthy play list. And as always, Marc "Dash" Stuart's versatile stage presence continues to entertain old friends.

With a strong foundation in good old Rock 'n' Roll, the eight-member band takes audiences through more than five decades of hit music. Dash Riprock & The Dragons plays the familiar tunes (from the 1940's to the 1990's) that have become everyone's all-time favorites.

At every performance, the band turns back time with early rock from such legends as Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. The group brings on the Motown sound with music from The Supremes, The Temptations and Wilson Picket. It mixes some golden oldies from The Beach Boys and the Blues Brothers with audience participation production numbers from the Village People and Donna Summer. Disco makes a come-back! The band then performs contemporary hits from Gloria Estefan, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon and Elton John.

Female lead vocalist Johnna Marie highlights each performance with soulful solos. Her renditions of songs by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Natalie Cole always draw enthusiastic applause.

And get ready for fun when Dash himself strolls into the audience as Elvis! Unsuspecting audience members get gently pulled into the show as Marc puts on his best Elvis impersonation. Throughout performances, Dash Riprock & The Dragons encourage audience participation. Band members step off the stage to join the crowd. At any given moment, saxophonist Jon Stutler serenades audience members in their seats. The band entertains with brief skits that keep everyone laughing. Before the first set ends, audiences are clapping and singing along like a giant group of old, familiar friends.

While the band can certainly set a room to dancing, the group can also turn down the volume for cocktail hours or dinner parties. Dash Riprock & The Dragons will masterfully set a more intimate mood with such classics as "Night and Day," "Misty" and "Stardust."
