Joe Passion was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and has toured extensively throughout North America, the Caribbean and Europe, while fine-tuning his diversified musical career.
Joe is an accomplished composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose major influences were rock-n-roll from the 50's and 60's, especially the British invasion artists who rocked the world with their sound.
Joe says, "The first song that I ever learned on guitar was 'Twist-n-Shout' by the Beatles and when I took up the piano I was dazzled by 'Great Balls of Fire' by Jerry Lee Lewis. I still love playing these songs. To me, they are the essence of Rock-n-Roll music."
Jerry Lee Lewis, considered the "Bad Boy" of the Rock-n-Roll era, became famous for his unique piano-slapping musical styles and controversial lifestyles, which eventually hindered his career. Joe Passion re-creates the image and stage acrobatics, which made Lewis a one-of-a-kind performer.
