These seven musicians start with snap, crackle, and pop bop that's made to order for dancing. They add non-stop stage action that grabs attention and won't turn loose. For extra flavor, the group mixes in a little fun and frolic with their audiences. From the first beat to the last, Custom Made delivers a generous serving of sizzling entertainment.
Watch out when the band's three female vocalists hit the spotlight in sparkling sequined dresses with matching shoes. By the time they swing through a choreographed medley of Supremes' classics, they've kicked off the shoes and taken over the stage in their stocking feet. If synchronized strutting was an Olympic event, they'd be Gold Medalists.
Emilea Matzner, Andrea Wright and Anjela Sammons must have been born to sing together. They switch leads, share backups, and seamlessly harmonize as they vocally parade across decades of hit songs. From stunning Shania Twain and rousing Aretha Franklin to the hot sound of Toni Braxton, this versatile trio even features special tributes to Tina Turner and En Vogue. They croon. They growl. They sing their hearts out and they sweep audiences off their feet.
But the ladies aren't the only ones who get standing ovations. Drummer and band leader Steve Ritter, who took first place in the 1991 Dallas Songwriters Association Contest, steals the spotlight with the Boyz II Men a cappella tune "Still of the Night." And his raspy Joe Cocker imitation of "Little Help From My Friends" is a show stopper every time.
Scott Dalrymple pumps out some rockin' piano and adds knock-out impersonations of Elton John and Hootie & The Blowfish. Don Townsley on lead guitar and bass guitarist Ron Ward round out this talented band. But audiences should prepare for more than straight-ahead music.
"We give audiences what they want," says leader Steve Ritter. "If they want to dance to rock 'n' roll, then that's what we play. If they like to boot scoot, then we give them country music. We can read an audience that's what we're best at."
Custom Made isn't resting on its past successes, however. The group continues to add more hit music, new surprises and flashier sizzle to its already overflowing performances. Count on this band being around for many years to come!
