GRAMMY AWARD winning Antwan André Patton, better known by his stage name Big Boi, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known for being a member of the southern hip-hop duo OutKast alongside André 3000.

Big Boi and Dre came together at Atlanta's Tri-City high school where OutKast was formed. They signed a contract with LaFace Records just prior to graduation and began their exceptional career in the rap game.

Dre (Andre Benjamin) grew up in a single parent home moving from place to place within southwest Atlanta until he was 15 and went to live with his father. It was during his adolescence that Andre fell victim to a negative lifestyle like many urban youths as a means of survival. Big Boi's (Antwan Patton) story is similar, moving from Savannah to Atlanta to join Andre in the ranks of the young, gifted, black and untapped as he ran the Atlanta city streets as well.

In 2013, Big Boi performed at the Summer Camp festival along with others including moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Trey Anastasio Band, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Zeds Dead, Yonder Mountain String Band and Diplo.

On April 19, 2017, Big Boi revealed that his third studio album would be titled Boomiverse, and that two singles, "Mic Jack" (featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5) and "Kill Jill" (featuring Killer Mike and Jeezy), would be released the following day. The track "All Night" from Boomiverse was used in the 2017 Apple iPhone X commercial which saw Alana Greszata lip syncing to the song for the "Animoji yourself" feature.

In February 2019, Big Boi performed at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show along with Maroon 5 and Travis Scott.

His discography includes three studio albums, one mixtape, twenty-two singles, five promotional singles and twenty-five music videos.
