Sully Erna is an American singer, musician, and songwriter, best known as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist for rock band Godsmack. He is also a harmonica player, drummer, and percussionist, performing these on albums and at live shows. He was ranked 47th in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by Hit Parader. He has been a musician since the age of 3 years old, where he began his musical journey as a drummer.

Already a proven commodity as the frontman of one of today's most powerful rock bands, Erna is also a successful producer, actor, and multi-instrumentalist, and has reaped a myriad of accolades, including several industry records such as: 20 Million Albums World Wide, 3 consecutive #1 debut albums on the Billboard 200 charts and twenty seven top 10 singles, which is more than any other band in Active Rock history.

Erna participated in the 2007 VH1 Celebrity Rock and Roll Tournament with Ace Frehley, Vinnie Paul, Scott Ian, and Dusty Hill. Erna took second place overall.

Sully Erna also played in the 2007 World Series of Poker main event. After the elimination of Tobey Maguire, Erna was the final celebrity remaining. To complement his placing at the World Series of Poker, he placed 2nd in a preliminary event at Bellagio's 5 Diamond World Poker Classic.

In January 2010, Erna, along with his band Godsmack, along with others including Staind, Alter Bridge, Slash, Guns N' Roses, Three Days Grace, Stone Temple Pilots, 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, and Rage Against the Machine's guitarist Tom Morello, partnered with multimedia company DC3 Music Group to fundraise and pack an MD-80 airplane with supplies and medical personnel to help in the Haiti earthquake. According to a press release, the plane was scheduled to leave from Long Beach, California, and bring 10,000 pounds of medical supplies, along with doctors and medical staff, to Port-au-Prince.

Erna's debut solo album is titled Avalon and was released on September 14, 2010. He released a live DVD, Avalon Live, in fall of 2012.

In 2016, he appeared as a Caesar's blackjack dealer in the Martin Scorsese-produced film Bleed for This. He also stared in the independent action-thriller called Black Files.

In 2022, Sully Erna was cast for Kevin Price, 2nd in command to Tom Sizemore in the feature Damon's Revenge.
