GRAMMY award-winning The Travelin' McCourys is an American bluegrass band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2009. The band, consisting of brothers Ronnie, Rob, Alan Bartram, Jason Carter, and Cody Kilby, was formed out of The Del McCoury Band, which still plays today.

The band gained recognition for their exceptional talent and numerous awards, including Entertainer of the Year nine times, Instrumental Group of the Year twice, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Despite the numerous accolades and awards the band received, Del McCoury recognized the need for a progression. The Travelin' McCourys formed a brief tour in the Southeast in 2009, collaborating with artists such as Jeff Austin, Keller Williams, and Bill Nershi.

Since then, the band has established itself as a separate entity from The Del McCoury Band, splitting their time between both bands.

The Travelin' McCourys have moved slightly away from the more traditional sound of The Del McCoury Band and incorporated a wider range of musical styles, creating a more progressive bluegrass sound.

The band has a "sublime combination of rock and bluegrass, contemporary and classic, old and young."
