Tony Terry is a handsome man and a gifted singer, performing artist, songwriter and actor who is acknowledged and respected by both his fans and peers. He has performed live with Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Gladys Knight, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder and Roberta Flack to name a few.
Tony has released four solo albums: "Forever Yours," "Tony Terry," "Heart of a Man" and "My Best." He has performed on the soundtracks to: "Gladiator" (starring Cuba Gooding), "Tap" (starring Gregory Hines) and a hit gospel duet, "You Gotta Have Love" with Yolanda Adams.
Tony Terry's hit singles include "She's Fly," "Lovey Dovey," "Forever Yours," "Head Over Heels," "With You," "Everlasting Love" and "When A Man Cries."
He has appeared on nearly every television program featuring music, usually more than once. In 1991, Tony earned two "Soul Train" nominations: Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for "With You." His accomplishments in the recording studio are complimented by a strong charisma on stage and on video.
Tony was on tour with a new production of "The Wiz" (also starring Grace Jones, Peabo Bryson, CeCe Peniston, Tasha Scott and others) in the role of the Tin Man. Tony Terry's reviews have been outstanding.
Although first a recording performing artist, Tony is not new to musical theater. After leaving The Duke Ellington School of Arts, Tony performed in the holiday musical, "Black Nativity." Soon after that production ran, he was singing and acting as one of the principal actors in the New York City production of "Mamma I Wanna Sing." Tony Terry has also performed as Prince Charming in the New York musical, "Sisterella," which was co-produced by Michael Jackson.
Tony starred in "Thank God! The Beat Goes On" with The Whispers and Alison Williams as well as appearing in the touring production of the Michael Matthews play, "Fake Friends."
Tony Terry is singing better than he ever has with new songs and a new determination.

What Others Say About ...
"But the best singing on the (Historic Minnesota State) Theater stage comes from Terry, whose soul-stirring vocalizing grips the listener in a velvet vice, softly sensual in its caress, powerfully profound as it assails with heart-rending urgency. At one point he takes the audience straight to church with his arching range and gospel prowess."
Renne Luca Wayne:
"It is without question, however, that the crowning moment in this show is Terry's rendition of the Tinman's lament, 'What Would I Do If I Could Feel'. Terry has focused on breathing real life into his character -- rather than morphing in and out of actor/singer mode. You truly feel him, and the deep longing expressed in Terry's emotionally soaring delivery steals your heart and lifts you to your feet."
